Computer or Digital Illustration is the use of digital tools to produce images under the direct manipulation of the artist, usually through a device such as a tablet or mouse. It is distinguished from computer-generated art, which is produced by a computer using mathematical models created by the artist. Our digital illustration courses explore many different artistic and technical techniques, equipment and software used in the creation of digital artwork. These include working with scanners, printers and digital drawing tablets, as well as software like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Corel Painter.
The Digital Illustration Certificate is composed of courses that teach illustration skills throughout many different mediums.
