The Fire Science Program is designed to prepare students for a career in the fire service as well as for career advancement. Instruction includes fire suppression, fire investigation, fire prevention, emergency and rescue systems, emergency response, hazardous materials, officer training, supervision, and coordination with other agencies.
EvCC offers an Associates in Applied Sciences-Transfer Degree in Fire Science, the AAS-T is transferable to Western Oregon University, toward a Bachelors of Science in Fire Administration, and Central Washington University, toward a Bachelors of Science in Administrative Management. Individual WA state certifications are available in our Fire Academy, EMT, and other IFSAC state certification courses.
